HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY

I know, I've been very lax with this blog. Seems like by the time I get home in the evening and everything is said and done - its 9 p.m. and the last thing on my mind is writing! So, please accept my apology and we'll leave it at that.

The girl's are fine - energy level on scale of 1-10 is 10++++! How's that for an answer!

Raquel will start volleyball soon and Micheal Ann hasn't decided what she wants to do - except swim!

Michael is fine and all is well - that's all I have to say!

Have a great St. Patrick's Day - we love you all!

All they want for Christmas is teeth!

Please accept my apologies for not keeping this post as up to speed as it should be. But, the last time I sat down and wrote for over 20 minutes and then went to exit - it was gone! Just like that and it discouraged me from coming back.

But as time passes and life is busy, I must tell you that the Tooth Fairy has been very busy in this house. Flying in and out and leaving notes and taking teeth and sprinkling her "fairy" dust on two very toothless girls! Micheal Ann lost her 1st tooth last month, only for Raquel to pull one out within days of Micheal Ann (if not hours!) - then it seems like they are falling out one by one so quickly! Raquel bit into a popcorn ball and lost a tooth, the day after Halloween. Micheal Ann lost tooth #2 at breakfast on Sunday morning! Enough for now - please!

The girls had a great Halloween - Micheal Ann was a maiden and Raquel a vampire girl. They walked the neighborhood with all the other 80 or so kids! I'm glad we live where Halloween is a holiday for kids to enjoy - it makes for a festive time of year. The weather was perfect for trick-or-treaters - no coats needed and lots of candy!

Well, now that you know what the girl's want for Christmas - you won't have to ask!

As soon as I figure out to download more pictures on this site - I'll be sure to post a Halloween one.
Love to one and all...

School news

The first week of school for Raquel has been an exciting one, as now that she's a 3rd grader she can be in the choir and join the jump rope club! She has been wanting to do this since 1st grade and now the time is here. Everyday she comes home with something new she wants to do and has to show us - she is the entertainer and always will be! Also, she constantly needs to be entertained - so, there is never a dull moment in our home.

Micheal Ann had a 1/2 day of kindergarten yesterday. Daddy took her to school, met her teacher and then picked her up to take her to Kindercare for the remainder of the day (she was not happy to go back there). She called me on her way to Kindercare and told me how much fun she had with Mrs. Shielee and that she can't wait for Thursday when she gets to go out for recess, play with her new friends and have lunch in the cafeteria. She is looking forward to all the great adventures ahead of her and we can see and hear it all the time. She is growing up so fast.

On another note, Saturday we went to the Oregon Zoo (thanks Mom - we love our Zoo Pass!) Anyway, the other week a baby elephant was born and it made big news up here and I'm sure some of you heard about it or maybe not. The birth was traumatic for the elephant herself and her baby - but now all are doing well and this week it will get named (stay tuned!) The Zoo has had a facelit and we had a really enjoyable day with the girl's walking all over and standing in line to see the baby elephant --- asleep! Oh well, with the zoo pass we can go anytime and see him playing!

I'm sure if you go to the Oregon Zoo website you can read all about it!

My first post

Well, I'm going to join the ranks of the bloggers out there. I figure one way to keep family and friends in tune with what Raquel or Micheal Ann has said or done in a week's time - this is the place to let it be known!

I'll try my best to update on a weekly basis, show some "art" from the girl's, let you in on what their up to now and what we as a family are doing.

As you all know, this is our 4th year in Oregon - and we love it! We love our home, our friends and the time we get to go camping and enjoy the outdoors! Life is good and we have been very blessed with this journey.

So, I'll try and figure out this whole blog thing and make it fun for one and all. I look forward to the comments from the Northwest to the Erie Isles!

Enjoy the journey!
